AlUla's Oasis: A Paradise Garden (2022)

The mural depicts the wadi of AlUla with its oasis, palm groves and rocky landscape. Native plants dot the scenery, stylised to resemble the local craft of Sadu weaving. The two walls that make the mural has a stream of water flowing from one end to the other, referencing the natural springs that were once plentiful and the numerous irrigation channels that crisscross the valley.

Members of the public, from all ages, were involved in every step of the project. From the design phase all the way to the final touches.

The design of the background has remained more or less the same since the day of its inception.

The mural is situated in a pedestrianised area of AlUla that is close to the Old Town. It faces two streets and it measures a total of 22m in length.
